Backflow and Cross Connection
It is the responsibility of the property owner or designated manager to ensure all backflow prevention devices tested by a certified backflow prevention technician on an annual basis. Please see our Rules and Regulations for more information on Cross Connections.
Testing and maintenance records must be retained for three years.
In specific instances where the Company deems the hazard to be great, inspections and tests at more frequent intervals may be required.
The Company reserves the right to test or otherwise check the installation and operation of any backflow prevention assembly at anytime.
Animas Water Company may reject incomplete or inaccurate test reports and may restrict testing companies that submit unreliable data.
Failed tests must be reported to AWC within 24 hours by email to AWC’s Office using this link or by emailing us at - awc@animaswatercompany.com and office@animaswatercompany.com.
Forms must be completed in their entirety.
Any incomplete forms will be returned to the Property Owner and a new test will be required to be submitted
