DFPD may utilize our hydrants in the CR 250 area during the Elkhorn Fire. Because of this, you may experience a periodic decrease in water pressure for nearby residents. We want to ensure you AWC is closely monitoring our system while this situation unfolds to ensure there is minimal loss in water service to any user.

Hydrant use may cause a temporary discoloration in water. If you do happen to experience discolored water, please know water discoloration poses no health risk.  Allow the cold water to run from your faucets for 5 to 10 minutes until it clears. Please check for discoloration particularly prior to using your washing machines and avoid running hot water as mineral sediments can accumulate in your water heater.
